A hashtag that describes my tenure at IQ Solutions: #It’sAllAboutTheAudience
I think I was one of the first moms who decided to try working from home once my daughter Elena was born – 18 years ago! That was when the Internet was still relatively new and email had also only been around as a common way to communicate for just a few years. I didn’t know if I could pull this off, but I thought I would try so that I could breastfeed exclusively. I am thankful to IQ Solutions for being ahead of the curve and trusting that remote work can be a win-win arrangement. All of these years later, I am still working remotely and believe I have made an impact through the research I have conducted on behalf of IQ’s supported public health campaigns such as the NICHD’s Safe to Sleep campaign, NIAMS’ Multicultural Outreach initiative, NIDCD’s It’s A Noisy Planet campaign, NIDCR’s Oral Aging and Health campaign, NIDDK’s National Diabetes Education Program, NIDA’s Drugs + HIV: Learn the Link campaign, and NEI’s National Eye Health Education Program. I look forward to continuing leveraging flexibility and innovation, together with the IQ family, in this ever changing world.
What kinds of support services do minority women living with heart disease want, or say they need? How best can organizations like IQ Solutions and WomenHeart serve these women as they seek to survive and thrive despite their diagnoses?
