Lamyaa Yousif, Ph.D., M.B.Ch.B., M.Sc., Research Manager
I am an epidemiologist with a medical background and almost 9 years of experience in conducting epidemiology research especially in the fields of radiation and occupational and cancer epidemiology as well as research methodology.
I bring with me the love to learn new things and the ability to communicate and inspire people from different backgrounds and with different goals. I like to encourage people to discuss multiple subjects from different perspectives, to create innovative ideas where science from different disciplines meets.
My biggest inspiration is observing how science evolves and changes every day, and the knowledge that we can be part of that is simply thrilling.
Priti Patel, M.P.H., Public Health Research Analyst
My experience and expertise revolve around the environmental health field where I’ve learned how to assess exposure to chemical toxins, deliver policy briefs, and provide sustainable solutions to our biggest environmental threats.
As a curious individual, I love being able to read about the various pillars that encompass public health, how innovative health professionals are reinventing the “three-legged stool,” and what path our field will take us on in the future.
My biggest inspiration comes from traveling and seeing how other cultures and communities invent sustainable solutions for our generation’s biggest threat: climate change. Exploring the world gives me hope for our future.
