The Challenge

The United States is facing a critical maternal health crisis, with thousands of new mothers experiencing mental health challenges that often go unrecognized and untreated. Maternal mental health conditions can have profound impacts on both mothers and their infants, affecting well-being, family stability, and long-term health outcomes. Increasing awareness and access to support is essential to improving the lives of women, infants, and children nationwide.

Our Solution

IQ Solutions partnered with federal health agencies to redesign and elevate the Maternal Mental Health Hotline webpage, making lifesaving resources more accessible to new mothers. By implementing a prominent call-to-action on HRSA.gov and launching a user-centered, visually engaging hotline page, we empowered mothers and mothers-to-be to seek help. Our approach combined content strategy, web design, and targeted analytics to ensure that critical information reached those who needed it most.

The Impact

Following the redesign, clicks to call the hotline increased by 503% (from 186 in January to 1,122 in June), and the clickthrough rate surged by 488.6%. Social media sharing of the hotline rose by 99.9%, significantly expanding its reach. These results demonstrate increased awareness, engagement, and use of the hotline, empowering more mothers to access vital mental health support.
